Privacy Policy – Pulse Journal
Last Updated: September 28, 2026
Welcome to Pulse Journal. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information when you use our website and services.
1. Information We Collect
a. Account Information
We use Clerk, a third-party identity provider, to handle sign-in and account creation. When you create an account, Clerk collects your name, email address, and (if you sign in with Google or another provider) your profile photo. Clerk manages your password directly — we never see or store it ourselves.
b. Order Information
- Full name
- Shipping and billing address
- Phone number
- Order history and status
c. Payment Information
We use Stripe to process payments securely.
- We do not store your full card details.
- Your payment information is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with their own security standards.
d. Cart Information
Items you add to your cart are stored in your browser (not on our servers) so your cart is remembered between visits. This information is only sent to us once you begin checkout.
e. Technical & Usage Data
IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you visit — collected only if you accept analytics cookies. See “Cookies” below.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Process transactions via Stripe
- Manage your account (sign-in and registration via Clerk)
- Fulfill and deliver orders, including sharing your shipping details with our delivery partner
- Process cancellation and refund requests
- Provide customer support
- Send order-related updates (confirmation, shipping, refund status)
- Understand how visitors use our website, to improve it — only if you've accepted analytics cookies
- Prevent fraud and unauthorized access
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share information only with the service providers who help us run the site:
- Stripe — secure payment processing
- Clerk — authentication and account management
- Our shipping and delivery partner — order fulfillment
- Cloudflare — website hosting, security, and our own first-party website analytics
- Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager — website analytics, only if you've accepted analytics cookies and only while enabled on our end
All third parties are required to maintain the confidentiality and security of your data.
4. Payment Security (Stripe)
Payments on our website are processed through Stripe, a secure and globally trusted payment provider.
Stripe uses industry-standard security measures such as:
- Encryption
- PCI-DSS compliance
For more information, please refer to Stripe's own privacy policy.
5. Cookies
We use two categories of cookies and browser-stored data:
Necessary
Keeps you signed in (via Clerk), remembers the items in your cart, and remembers your cookie preference. These can't be switched off — the site can't function properly without them.
Analytics (opt-in)
Helps us understand how visitors use the site: our own first-party analytics, and — only if enabled — Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager. Off by default until you choose to accept it. You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie Preferences” in the footer.
You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings, but some features (like staying signed in) may not work properly.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including:
- Secure, encrypted hosting (Cloudflare, HTTPS everywhere)
- Encrypted connections between your browser and our servers
- Limited access to personal data
However, no online system is completely secure.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Update or correct your information
- Request deletion of your account
Please contact us to exercise these rights.
8. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for all activity under your account.
9. Third-Party Links
Our website may include links to external websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
